Spiritual Adolescence, Steve Highlander

The Bible encourages us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Growing suggests changing. Things are moving from immature to mature. In our human experience, every person goes through a time we call adolescence. That temporary, but tumultuous period we call puberty. Adolescence is a transitional time. You are not what you were, but you are not what you are going to be.  Unfortunately, this short but intense time has many dynamics. The same is true of your spiritual journey. God is constantly causing us to grow, which means we may go through several “adolescent” experiences spiritually.
